@ccheska04 You could pick yourself up some heat protectant gloves.
@NoWayKitty I typically keep mine in until your rollers in your hair feel about room temperature and not hot anymore.

mostly great advice, but be forewarned: clips, although much easier to use than the metal pins, often leave a crimp at the top of the curl

@NoWayKitty About ten minutes? Unless you want super curled hair then you keep it in for longer.
